'Hare amongst the Poppies' Organic Cotton Cushion Cover
Felt cotton cushion cover
The beautiful felt-work used to create this cushion was done by Lewis who is one of the people we support at The Creative Studio in our Larchfield community.
All of our felt works were created by adults with learning and other disabilities.
Felting is the ancient tradition of locking together wool fibres using moisture and/or friction. The two felting techniques are called ‘wet felting’ and ‘needle felting’. In wet felting, hot soapy water and hand rubbing are used to fuse the wool together. In needle felting, triangular-shaped needles with notches push and intermingle the wool fibres together.
Felting is a therapeutic activity that allows the people we support to express their creativity whilst using natural, sustainable materials.
We have printed some of these beautiful images onto 100% organic cushions covers. The cushions have natural fabric backing and a zip.
We think they have a real ' country cottage ' feel.
