A Relaxed, Creative Art Workshop
Spend a day exploring the beautiful combination of loose watercolour washes on wet paper, followed by expressive pen drawing layered over the top.
This technique blends the soft, flowing qualities of watercolour with the structure and detail of line drawing - creating artwork that feels both spontaneous and defined.
Perfect for beginners and craft enthusiasts.
🍽️ Lunch included
🎨 All materials provided
🖌️ No experience needed
What You’ll Explore
During the workshop you will:
- Apply paint onto wet paper to create soft blends and natural movement
- Learn how water spreads, merges and creates organic textures
- Allow washes to dry before adding pen work over the top
- Use line to define shapes, add detail and bring your piece to life
- Explore the contrast between loose colour and controlled drawing
This process is sometimes known as “line and wash”, where colour is applied first for atmosphere and tone, and pen is added afterwards for structure and character.
You’ll complete a series of small studies before developing a finished piece to take home in a frame.
