Handmade wooden flappy duck
The flappy duck is an all-time favourite. When pushed forward on a stick handle, the leather feet slap and flap the floor.
Made by people we support at Camphill Village Trust, Botton Village Woodwork Shop.
It is made of native hardwood, sanded and oiled to a fine finish.
The duck is 580mm long.

I bought it for one of my great nieces. She's too young to play with it in its complete form but is happy to watch her (slightly) older sister play with it. She plays with the duck itself and would be happy to play with just the stick but of course that would be too dangerous.
This toy holds very special memories for us. We first bought one for our eldest son, now 32!, when he was a year old. He and his 3 other siblings adored it, as did their Mum and Dad!With our elder daughter having recently had her first baby, we wanted to give our grandson something special and memorable when we go out to visit him in Bogota, Colombia, in September (Coronavirus restrictions permitting). I was thrilled to receive Flappy Duck, looking just I remember it 32 years ago: the same simple, but sturdy and pleasing design. I cannot what to show it to my daughter - she knows nothing about it - and to our grandson!
