Botton Village Dale End Cheddar
Our herd of Dairy Shorthorn cows including Willow, Minnie and Cherry Blossom work hard to produce the creamy milk at Old Botton Farm parlour, which is then brought to our Creamery, less than half a mile away. We leave the milk unpasteurised to give the cheese it’s unique taste of the varied grasses found in Botton Village fields. Hand-made at Botton Village Creamery with vegetarian rennet, where it is matured on wooden shelving, and lovingly turned and washed.
Our cheddar is traditional cloth bound cheddar which is aged for a minimum of six months. It has a tangy and citrus like taste with a long lasting flavour. A wonderful cheddar that gets the taste buds at the back of your mouth tingling.
For your cheese to arrive as fresh as possible, we will send it by 1st Class post or depending on weight by courier. When the shipping calculation is shown at checkout it will say heavy 2nd class but it will arrive to you by 1st.
When we're preparing your order we’ll try to get pretty close to what you need, but hand cutting cheese is an art, not a science, so it may be that you end up with a few extra grams to enjoy.

I ordered 3 items: 1 Dale End Cheddar and 2 Summerfields. One of the Summerfields was for me and it is absolutely delicious. It is lovely just thinly sliced and possibly even better cooked. The others were a gift and were very well received. I will be ordering more and am planning on trying the Brie next.
The cheese ordered arrived quickly and was enjoyed by us and our friends. Not cheap but worth it for a special occasion
We were thrilled with our cheeses - particularly the Summerfields; we can understand why it won prizes! Our neighbour loved it so much that we’re hoping you’ll be producing something for Christmas gifts! You’ve certainly earned smiley faces and more! Thank you.
What to say, the palate and nose on this cheese was the essence of a Yorkshire moors creamery.
I haven’t tried it yet.
