We’re over the moon to share that Botton Creamery’s Summerfields Alpine Style Hard Cheese has won a top prize at this year’s Deliciously Yorkshire Taste Awards! The judges loved our cheese's unique flavour, calling it “creamy and nutty” and praising how it “delivers massively on taste.” They described it as a cheese that takes you on a flavour journey – and that’s exactly what we set out to create.

 At Botton Creamery, which is part of our charity Camphill Village Trust and based in the beautiful North York Moors, our small but dedicated team – Nigel Hunter, Peter Craggs, and Richard Glossop – is at the heart of every cheese we make. Their commitment to the craft is what makes our cheese truly special. This win reflects their passion, skill, and many hours spent perfecting each wheel of cheese, all while staying connected to the community that supports them.

Our organic cheese is crafted from the high-quality raw milk produced right here at Botton Village. Nigel, Peter, and Richard work with nature and tradition, creating a cheese that the judges said was “deliciously floral and alpine.” It’s a great feeling to see their hard work recognised by experts, and this award really celebrates the unique blend of quality ingredients and skilled cheesemaking happening in our community.
