Our herd of Dairy Shorthorn cows including Willow, Minnie and Cherry Blossom work hard to produce the creamy milk at Old Botton Farm parlour, which is then brought to our Creamery, less than half a mile away. We leave the milk unpasteurised to give the cheese it’s unique taste of the varied grasses found in Botton Village fields. Hand-made at Botton Village Creamery with vegetarian rennet, where it is matured on wooden shelving, lovingly turned and washed by people we support.
A tomme style cheese which is wash rind for a year and left to mature on the wooden shelves in our creamery. This seriously strong Tomme is a lovely earthy colour. A great cheese for cooking with a rich hazelnut leading into a citrus flavour.

Taste was Excellent
Brilliant service, I ordered hamper with three cheeses, onion marmalade and crabapple jelly. This cheese especially loved by my husband. I preferred the summer fields but all are good.
Old fashioned cheese, great rounded taste with a hint of grass richness, not "plastic" at all, I'll be re-ording until I can visit again.
Delicius nutty and fruity flavour. Good firm cheese.
Had I known in advance how hard this was I'd probably have opted for something a little softer, however, "I likes my cheese" and this has a lovely strong taste!
