Cleveland cheese is Botton Creamery’s re-invention of a cheese made in the local area up until the 1930s.
According to the Great British Cheese Book of 1982, the cheese was once as popular as Wensleydale, and our creamery team have tried to follow the original recipe as closely as possible. The resulting cheese is like a mild cheddar - a good quality, organic farmhouse cheese that everyone can enjoy.
