Our herd of Dairy Shorthorn cows including Willow, Minnie and Cherry Blossom work hard to produce the creamy milk at Old Botton Farm parlour, which is then brought to our Creamery, less than half a mile away. We leave the milk unpasteurised to give the cheese it’s unique taste of the varied grasses found in Botton Village fields. Hand-made at Botton Village Creamery with vegetarian rennet, it is matured for a year, lovingly turned and washed by people we support.
As this artisan cheese needs to be kept at a low temperature, we are only able to fulfil orders before the end of April. For your cheese to arrive as fresh as possible all orders will be processed once a week and sent out on a Wednesday. When we're preparing your order we’ll try to get pretty close to what you need, but hand cutting cheese is an art, not a science, so it may be that you end up with a few extra grams to enjoy.
