Cheese and Chutney, Organic Hamper
Our herd of Dairy Shorthorn cows including Willow, Minnie and Cherry Blossom work hard to produce the creamy milk at Old Botton Farm parlour, which is then brought to our Creamery, less than half a mile away. We leave the milk unpasteurised to give the cheese it’s unique taste of the varied grasses found in Botton Village fields. Hand-made at Botton Village Creamery with vegetarian rennet, it is matured for a year, lovingly turned and washed by people we support.
As this artisan cheese needs to be kept at a low temperature, we are only able to fulfil orders before the end of April. When we're preparing your order we’ll try to get pretty close to what you need, but hand cutting cheese is an art, not a science, so it may be that you end up with a few extra grams to enjoy.
To round off your cheese we are featuring two appetising organic chutneys made at Botton Food Centre. The Apple and Raisin and Courgette chutneys are made mainly from ingredients grown in our gardens, they not only taste delicious but have low food miles and strong provenance. Working in harmony with nature gives the people we support the opportunity to improve their physical health and mental wellbeing.
